One day, one of my students showed me a photo of a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l girl and talked to me about her all the time. Blah, blah, blah……Andy 终于忍受不了了，非常抱歉的说：“She wouldn't have been my cup of tea."什么意思呢？她不是我那杯茶吗？想一想，是不是有什么深层的含义呢？tea 是茶的意思。not my cup of tea大概是不和我 的口味吧。啊 ！ 对了。确切的应该翻译成” 她不会是我的意中人“。这是美国的地道说法。

2）Let's bag it for now. 先放一放吧！

相当于：Forget about it!

看来ANDY是一个以事业为重的人了。虽然他深知朋友们的苦心，但不得不恳求他的朋友：“Let's bag it for now." 当然我们不能翻译成用袋子装起来。Would it be better if we put it this way? 翻译成”让我们现在先把它放一放“是不是更确切一点儿呢？

Here is an example:

If you have a plan, but it is not so suitable to carry it out at present, you may say, let's bag it. Anyhow, when you have made your plan that is good for you, you have to stick to it!
